Description

Sort modules are designed to sit atop aluminum frame and all-laminate consoles. Available in widths from 13” – 84” and heights from 18”-48.” Variations include closed, open and plexiglass back. Supports standard, legal and oversize shelves.

Sort Module Specifications

·         Sort shelves readjust along full depth rigid PVC plastic channel guides that allow for easy shelf adjustment.

·         Adjustable Plastic Shelving: Constructed of 1/8" thick .90 gauge polyethylene with memory retention. Shelves are adjustable on 1" increments that provide full depth support. Shelves are supported front and rear with aluminum index track and clear index cover and are rated for capacity loads up to 35 lbs.

·         Adjustable Wood Shelving: Constructed of 5/8" thick matching thermally fused melamine with 1.5mm PVC edge banding. Shelves are adjustable on 1" increments and have optional self-applying index strips. Shelves are rated for capacity loads up to 50 lbs.

·         Sort modules come in 1 to 6 column configurations. Modules up to 30" high feature 5 re-adjustable shelves providing 6 openings. Modules with sorting heights of 36”, 42” and 48”  feature 7 re-adjustable shelves providing 8 openings. Additional shelves can be purchased separately or in packs of five.

·         Sort modules are available in standard closed back, open back for pass through operations and plexiglass back for additional working light.

·         Sort modules available standard, legal or oversize configurations for standard 8 1/2 x 11 size documents, legal size documents and oversize documents like newspapers and periodicals.

·         Sort modules are shipped fully assembled.

Assembly

·         Sort modules are assembled using Hafele mini-fix cam hidden fastener system with metal-to-metal connection points. Parts are drilled using a 32mm hole drilling via computer controlled point-to-point machines for insured uniformity and consistency.

·         Sort module affixes to Hamilton Sorter consoles with Hafele mini-fix cam lock so that depth of sort module can be readjusted for varying user requirements.

Optional Features

·         Plexiglass doors in clear or smoked plexiglass with available locking feature.

·         Optional 3", 6", 12" or 18" risers for access to additional console worksurface.

·         Optional display boards for locator lists.

·         Shelf dividers for partitioning of polyethylene shelving.

·         Depth on all Modules = 16 7/8”

·         To calculate sorting inches, take the total height of the unit, subtract any riser, subtract 2” for the top and bottom of the unit.  That gives you sorting inches per column. Then multiply by the number of columns.

·         Shelves and shelf supports are available in black, brown and grey. Shelf supports are adjustable on 1” increments.

·         Modules with sorting heights of 18”, 24” and 30” include 5 shelves per column, providing a total of 6 mail slots per column. Modules with sorting heights of 36”, 42” and 48” include 7 shelves per column, providing a total of 8 mail slots per column.

·         If a module has a riser, use the sorting height only to calculate the number of shelves included.

·         Additional selves can be ordered if more slots are required. Shelves can also be deleted if fewer slots are required.

·         Modules with 6” risers that are 54” or more in width have a center riser leg. All modules with 12” or 18” risers feature a 2” front fascia on the riser. (Clearance = riser height –2”). All modules with 12” or 18” open risers have a 2” fascia on the riser front and back. Open-back modules with no riser have a 2” fascia across the upper rear. These features help maintain stability of the unit.

·         Open-back modules must have closed-back risers and modules with open-back risers must be closed back. This helps maintain the stability of the unit.

·         If the module is to be mounted in the center of the table, order a CX console for additional support.

·         Module width and depth cannot be modified. Reduction in the height of the overall module or riser requires an upcharge.

·         When using a 3” riser you can retain the overall height of the module, by adding 3” to the sorting height.

·         Modules with 3” risers are closed in front and back of the riser and fasten to the console with a locking cam accessed from outside of the module.

·         All modules are shipped fully assembled.

Description

Aluminum framed consoles are designed to support sort modules, platforms and mailing machines. Framed in contoured anodized aluminum with high pressure laminate tops and available in widths of 24" - 84", heights of 30", 36", 42" and clearances of 3" or 9". Variations include open frame, half shelf, full shelf and cabinet consoles.

Console Specifications

·         All consoles come equipped with adjustable leveling guides to insure stable machine support on uneven floor environments.

·         Aluminum framed consoles are available in the following configurations:

·         Basic (CT)- featuring open frame

·         Half-Shelf (CH)- featuring a 15" or 18" deep half-shelf

·         Full-Shelf (CS)- featuring a 30" or 36" deep full-shelf. Cabinet (CC)- featuring a full-shelf and sliding doors

·         Cabinet (CC)- featuring a full-shelf and sliding doors

·         Center Mount Modesty (CX)- featuring a center mounted modesty panel designed to support additional weight

·         Consoles come in standard widths of 24" to 84", depths of 24" to 36" and heights of 30", 36" & 42".

·         Toe clearance options for consoles are available in 3" and 9". Modifications are available to width, depth, height and clearance.

·         All consoles are rated to support up to 750 lbs. Center Mount Modesty Consoles are rated to support up to 1,000 lbs. 

Console Construction

·         Leg units and supports are constructed of custom designed multi-cavity aluminum extrusions with a satin anodized finish and inlaid feature strips, optional aluminum finishes include silver-vein, copper-vein and black powdercoat.

·         Leg panels are constructed of 5/8" industrial grade, 40-50 lb. substrate double-faced melamine slotted into custom designed aluminum extrusions.

·         Modesty panels are constructed of 3/8" industrial grade, 40-50 lb. substrate double-faced melamine.

·         Under-table shelves are constructed of 5/8" industrial grade, 40-50 lb. substrate double-faced melamine framed with impact resistant 1.5mm PVC edge-banding.

·         Sliding doors for under-table cabinets are constructed of 3/8" industrial grade, 40-50 lb. substrate double-faced melamine slotted into custom designed aluminum extrusions fitted with a nickel plated zinc alloy bow handle. Optional plunger locks available.

·         Work-surfaces are constructed of 11/16" thick high-pressure laminate (HPL) with industrial grade 40-50 lb. sub-straight, backed with a .027 phenolic backer.

Console Assembly

·         Units are shipped knocked down and are assembled with ¼-20 machine screws with allen-type head and Phillips head self tapping screws.

Console Optional Features

·         Optional console wheels include straight wheel, swivel wheel and swivel wheel with brake.

·         Available dump rims frame console work surface and catch material dumped for primary sorts.

·         Vertical partitions available for organizing shipping materials such as envelopes and boxes.

·         Optional worksurfaces like ABS and stainless steel available.

·         Cable management options include cable raceway, pop-up power centers and cable cutouts.

·         Tasking accessories include optional articulating keyboard and keyboard drawer.

NOTES

·         All consoles feature modesty panels located at the rear. The half-shelf on CH consoles is also located at the rear.

·         All consoles 36” deep and 36” or wider have support bars mounted front-to-rear under the workstation.

·         Wheels can be added to fixed height consoles with 9” floor clearance only. Wheels must be ordered separately.

·         Use CX consoles where 48” depth is required.

·         Consoles 30” or 36” high with 9” clearances only can be fitted with adjustable legs. Console height will adjust between 28”-32” on 30” high consoles and 34”-38” on 36” high consoles.

·         Adjustable consoles have a 12” range, from 28” high to 40” high

·         Crank handles and electrical switches are located on the right hand side of the consoles.

·         All adjustable consoles feature a 3” clearance.

·         Roller tables feature 22:w steel ball-bearing rollers mounted on 3” centers and a styrene top.

Platforms are designed to create additional work-surface space by elevating technology used in manifest applications.  Platforms can be securely attached to Hamilton Sorter’s aluminum framed consoles with our unique pin-cam locking system. Available in widths of 24” to 84” and heights ranging from 3’ to 18’. Variations on the platform configuration include an aluminum-extruded front for mounting adjustable keyboards.

NOTES

·         Three-inch high platforms feature a closed front and closed back. They are fastened to the console with a locking cam accessed from outside the platform.

·         Platforms 6” high and 54” or wider, with no aluminum extrusion, feature a center support leg.

·         Platforms higher than 6” are supported with a 2” fascia across the front.

·         Platform width should equal the width of the console which it will be used so that it can fasten to the console at both ends.

·         Platforms 12” or higher may be ordered with front and back aluminum extrusions. Twelve-inch platforms feature a 5” back panel and the 18” high platforms and 8” high back panel. Both have an open area between the back panel and extrusion for cable management.

·         A keyboard tray may be mounted on the aluminum extrusion platform and positioned anywhere along the width of the extrusion. Keyboards cannot be mounted on platforms without extrusions. Keyboards must be ordered separately.

·         Platforms without aluminum extrusions have full backs with a 1 3/16” black, cable-management gasket located at the bottom of the back panel.
